A prestige hotel in a park in the heart of Paris, a great restaurant with terrace and a Private Club? The Saint James Paris is all those things, and much more! Part chateau, part family townhouse , a blend of grandeur and intimacy , of classicism and extravagance. Highly Parisian yet decidedly beyond fashion. Indefinable, unclassifiable, simply unique.

Built in the 19th century on Paris’s first balloon landing field in the exclusive 16th arrondissement, this magnificent neo-classical mansion hosted the Thiers foundation for scholars for over a century , before becoming the Saint James Club of Paris. Now a member of Relais & Chateaux, the Saint James Paris is an experience of its own, totally revisited by the dream- maker Bambi Sloan.

Chef Adrian Brunet shares his passion with sincerity through subtle recipes that combine French gastronomical classics and contemporary dining. The gourmet experience has a wonderfully unique atmosphere and its rounded out with a spectacular dessert by the Pastry chef.

In a fascinating shrine, subtle Oriental, Western blend, the Guerlain Spa offers two treatment rooms, two steam-rooms and an exercise room as elegant as a fencing room.

Madeleine Castaing, Rene Magritte or Elizabeth of Austria are examples of the characters who inspired the 49 rooms and suites each one with its own story and especially spacious.

The guests are welcomed like friends would be in this eccentric family house!

Soho House – New york , New York!

Soho House New York is a private members’ club and hotel in the heart of New York’s hyper-trendy Meatpacking District. It was founded in London, in 1995, as a private members’ club for those in film, media and creative industries. Soho House has since expanded to include Houses across Europe and North America, as well as restaurants, cinemas, spas and hotels.

This converted warehouse shot to fame shortly after opening when it was featured in an episode of Sex and the City. It still has a glamorous, celebrity-friendly vibe, and the SATC link is still felt, guests on the roof terrace are talking about it, and both Sarah Jessica Parker and Candace Bushnell (original author of the columns and book) are members.

Covering six floors, it is built over 45,000 square feet of an old warehouse building in the Meatpacking District. The club offers extensive facilities; the Restaurant, Club Bar, Drawing Room, Pantry Bar, a 44-seater cinema and a heated rooftop pool. The fourth and fifth floors each house private hire spaces; the Club Room, Screening Room and Library.

Soho House is famous for the over-the-top stylishness of it all. The trendy décor, cool guests, and, most significantly, a door policy that gives it an utterly exclusive feel. The rooftop pool and bar – rare indeed in Manhattan – is where the episode was filmed, and there is a certain appeal in lying on the same elegant white loungers on which the SATC four sunned themselves. It also has great views of the area, and is a glorious suntrap in late spring.

The third floor is home to the Cowshed spa. With treatment rooms, private eucalyptus steam rooms and relaxation space, Cowshed is somewhere to unwind and enjoy a wide range of body care and beauty treatments. Pretty parties for 8-10 people can be arranged, where guests have the full run of Cowshed in the evening and enjoy a combination of pampering treatments, dinner and wine.

In addition, Soho House New York runs as a hotel with 26 spacious bedrooms – each bespoke-designed. The style is understated and chic: an exciting mix of contemporary and retro furniture, surrounding a huge bed covered with ‘jump on me’ pillows and walk-in rainforest showers. Treats include a full range of Cowshed products in the bathrooms!
